Nicholas Allegra commonly known as Comex, the developer of some of the most popular jailbreak tools like JailbreakMe and Spirit has just announced on twitter that he has got an opportunity of internship in Apple and he will soon go to work for Apple as an internee. He didn’t say what he will be doing at Apple, but we sure hope he keeps contributing the jailbreak and iPhone hacking community
Comex Via Tweets:
It’s been really, really fun, but it’s also been a while and I’ve been getting bored. So, the week after next I will be starting an internship with Apple.
MuscleNerd a famous iOS hacker and the member of iPhone Dev-Team has also wished Comex the best, You can read it below:
@comex Congrats on the Apple internship…what a great opportunity!
Forbes had unmasked Comex as Nicholas Allegra, a 19-year old Brown University student from Chappaqua, New York who stays with his parents. Allegra describes jailbreaking as “like editing an English paper… You just go through and look for errors. I don’t know why I seem to be so effective at it.”
Nicholas Allegra a.k.a. Comex first appeared on the iPhone jailbreak scene in March of 2010 when he demonstrated an untethered jailbreak for the iPhone 3GS called Spirit. Then in August of 2010 Comex released another untethered jailbreak of iOS 4.0 for all devices including the iPhone 4. This jailbreak was entitled JailbreakMe 2.0 and could easily be performed using just MobileSafari. After Apple closed the PDF exploit, Comex was again able to update JailbreakMe to perform an untethered jailbreak of iOS 4.3.3 in July.
